Femke Schaap
Femke Schaap (1972), who calls herself ‘a sculptor in light’, graduated as a visual artist from the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam, where she still works and lives. After graduating in 1997, she was awarded first prize in the prestigious Prix de Rome’s sculpture category. She has since become known for her life-sized, spatial video installations in which she combines flat projections and spatial forms while immerses visitors in a moving image.
