Marcus Neustetter

South African artist Marcus Neustetter (1976) graduated as a visual artist from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, the city where he now lives and works. In addition to being an artist, he is a cultural activist and regularly organises engaging projects or ‘interventions’. Neustetter makes (site-specific) drawings, sculptures, multimedia and light installations, performances and films. He reflects critically but playfully on socio-cultural issues and the history of the African Continent and beyond.
