The duality of the lightning bolt is something that is shared across cultures. Sergey Kim's Omen is a lightning bolt frozen in time and contained in a vessel. It gives us a moment to admire the captivating beauty and terrifying destructive force of this sudden and fleeting natural phenomenon up close. It also gives us time to appreciate and ponder on the symbolic role it plays in the rituals and beliefs of all of Amsterdam's diverse inhabitants.
