In her talk, Inger Leemans explores the role of scent in everyday culture and explains how we can become more ‘nose-wise’. Naturally, we will also engage in some smelling ourselves.

Inger Leemans is a Professor of Cultural History at VU Amsterdam and head of NL-Lab, a research group focused on Dutch culture and identity (KNAW Humanities Cluster). Her research covers a range of topics, including the history of emotions and scent. |
