LIGHT CONNECTS
However you spend your holidays, Amsterdam Light Festival is a yearly recurring ritual that connects residents and visitors of Amsterdam alike. Whether you’re looking for something to do with kids, an outdoor activity with your family, or a walk with your best friend; we’ve got you covered this holiday period.
ON THE SHORE
Celebrate the jolly season and go for a culinary experience with our Foodwalk. You will stop by 5 restaurants for a bite and a drink along the festival route. Or walk off the festive dinners and drinks, with our festival app. Be like a local, and join a bike tour with an enthusiastic guide. Nothing better than breathing in the fresh air while taking in the wintery scene of Amsterdam. Make sure to wear a warm coat though!
ON THE WATER
You can also get cozy on board a heated canal boat and admire the artworks from the water. Or opt for an open boat, with extraordinary views of the artworks. Feeling festive? Step on board a boat including drinks, for a sip and cruise. If you buy your tickets via our own ticket shop, you support the light art tremendously!
GOOD TO KNOW
On 31 December the lights are off and our festival is closed. On this day, there are already enough events and firework shows going on in the city. Don’t worry; we will be back again on 1 January! Edition 13 lasts until Sunday 19 January.
