Come visit our Festival Hub from 14 December until 7 January! A cozy gathering place with captivating stories, take away options and even more light art.
FESTIVAL HUB
This year we’ve created a meeting place in the Hoftuin (courtyard) of the Diaconie. The garden is charmingly lit and there are two extra light artworks. Via the festival app, you can get to know more about the artworks, but also about this special place, where, for centuries, the social work for the city was arranged. Next to that, there is an information point where you go for questions or to charge your phone. Or pass by Dignita, for a takeaway drink or a special 3-course Amsterdam Light Festival dinner.
EXTRA LIGHT ART
The Festival Hub is only accessible by foot. The light artworks that can be found here are interactive: meet a mysterious figure at the artwork ‘Percipio’ by the Hungarian artists Gáspár Battha and András Nagy, or turn your shadow into pixels at ‘0,12’ of the German artist Aram Bartholl.
GOOD TO KNOW
The Festival Hub is opened from Thursday 14 December 2023 until Sunday 7 January 2024, from 4.30 to 9.00 p.m. On 18, 19, 20 and 31 December the Festival Hub is closed. Please keep in mind that the buildings surrounding the Hoftuin are inhabited; keep your volume down and throw your trash away in bins. Free entry.
