EDITION 13: RITUALS
As of today you can book tickets for Edition 13. The thirteenth edition takes place from Thursday 28 November 2024 until Sunday 19 January 2025 and revolves around the theme Rituals. This year, 27 light artworks will shed a unique and inspiring light on the theme. The artworks can be admired from the water and land and with one of our cruise or walk experiences you will get everything out of your festival visit. Your purchase also tremendously supports the festival foundation.
CRUISE
The light artworks are placed on the quaysides, in the middle of, or above the iconic canals of Amsterdam. From the water you have a unique view of the artworks and of the canals by night. Whether you want to be warm and covered in a canal boat, tucked away in a blanket on an open boat, or enjoy a drink or 3-course dinner; anything is possible. WALK
Put on a sturdy pair of boots and a warm coat and discover the 6.5-kilometer route by foot. In our festival app you can find the route map, with all the information about the artworks (also in audio), artists and how the artwork is made. Want to put a culinary spin on your walk? Then go for the Foodwalk, where you will receive a stamp card to pick up 5 bites and/or drinks at restaurants along the way (only availbale on Fridays). PRACTICAL
The lights go on every day at 5.00 p.m. On the more quiet days, Sunday to Wednesday, the lights are on until 10.00 p.m. From Thursday to Saturday and during the Christmas break (21 December until 5 January) the lights are on until 11.00 p.m. The festival is closed on 31 December.
