Aram Bartholl

Aram Bartholl (DE, 1972) was born in Bremen, Germany, and graduated from the University of Arts in Berlin in 2002. Bartholl uses sculptural interventions, installations and performative workshops to question our engagement with media and public economics linked to social networks, online platforms and digital dissemination strategies. Through his work he addresses socially relevant topics, like surveillance, data privacy and technology dependence. Bartholl is also a professor of art and digital media at HAW in Hamburg, Germany.
