Bridge of the Rainbow

Because a rainbow is elusive, no one will ever find the foot nor the pot of gold that would be there. Artist and light designer Gilbert Moity (FR) firmly plants a rainbow in the middle of an Amsterdam cityscape, tangible and contrasting with the dark night.

With Bridge of the Rainbow he creates a connection of two banks and the illusion of a gate. The artwork symbolizes the openness and diversity that are typical of Amsterdam, and the color range represents the LGBTQIA 'alphabet soup' which has its own scene in the city.
