But Vendel & de Wolf are putting on a show, right here on Brouwersgracht. Inspired by a Perseid meteor shower, the artist duo captures the beauty of these rare cosmic events, which have shaped countless rituals from the olden times until today. The Ancient Greeks used to wish upon a shooting star, and we still do that today – if we can see one. Even though the night sky is masked by our city lights, Vendel & de Wolf put the stars within reach, so close we can nearly touch them, to make up for all wishes we no longer get to make.
