Lichtgedicht

From afar

To miss creeps like lead in the muscles, darkness
crawls through the bloodstream. Night captures you
in a straitjacket, velvet. The child, still unfamiliar
with loss, runs crowing towards a day.

You look after it. How to get to the exit? Where
is your anger? Embrace the dark, look paralyzed
towards a heaven where friends radiate like starts
one last time, accept the greeting from their distance.
