Educatieproject Light Lab Technasium

CalandLyceum, Metis Montessori Lyceum & Damstede Lyceum
Edition 9

Let's take a look at the positive, hopeful side of the theme 'When Nature Calls'! We can learn a lot from nature, appreciate its beauty and, above all, protect our planet better. With this assignment as a starting point, students from the three Amsterdam technasium schools - the Calandlyceum, the Metis Montessori Lyceum and the Damstede Lyceum - made these small light artworks. For the Research & Design course they made designs in groups, which they then realized in miniature, as prototypes for 'real', large light artworks. Under the guidance of their teachers and the festival, the pupils thought carefully about the story that their light artwork tells, how they could best use light, and where in the city the artwork would best come into its own. We've asked a few students to tell a bit more about their experience during this project:

Each group also made a video to explain what their artwork is about. You can check them out below.
