Mirror Moon

Even though we all see the same Moon, its appearance changes depending on our location on Earth. Arnout Meijer's Mirror Moon takes the ritual significance of this heavenly body and connects it to different rhythms and points of view from around the world. The etched glass moons are linked to real-time phases of the Moon as seen from different positions on Earth, so as to create a new dynamic cycle together. The work reminds us that we all see something else from where we are standing, but in the end, it's the same: the mesmerizing cycle of the Moon.
