OPEN CALL
Every year we hold an Open Call for the next festival edition. During the Open Call we invited creatives worldwide to submit a concept for a light artwork. From professional light artists to upcoming talent; everyone can participate! Click the button below to kickstart your submission for Edition 13 (28.11.2024 - 19.11.2025) now. The Open Call for Edition 13 is open from 30 March until 11 May 2023 (23.59h CET).
CO-CREATION
At Amsterdam Light Festival the process of co-creation – developing artworks in collaboration with artists – is at the base of what we do. When the Open Call closes, a careful selection procedure follows, after which up to 25 artworks are created. This happens under the guidance of the festival, both in terms of technical and artistic guidance, as well as the providing of materials and funding.
