Terms & Conditions Online Gallery

1. General

• The Online Gallery of Amsterdam Light Festival (hereinafter: ALF) is a platform where independent artists present their available artworks;
• By using the Online Gallery or purchasing an artwork, the buyer acknowledges and accepts the information below.

2. Purpose of the Online Gallery

• The Online Gallery is a digital showcase of available artworks by participating artists;
• Its purpose is to increase the visibility of artists and create sales opportunities for them.

3. Role of ALF

• ALF solely facilitates the online platform and promotion (via website, app, newsletter, and social media);
• ALF is not a party to the sales agreement between the artist and the buyer;
• ALF is not responsible for the accuracy of information, pricing, or imagery provided by artists;
• ALF accepts no liability for damage, loss, disputes, or claims arising from sales, payment, shipping, authenticity, or any other transaction between artist and buyer.

4. Responsibilities of the Artist

Each artist is independently responsible for:

• the authenticity, ownership, and availability of the artwork offered;
• providing correct information, prices, and imagery;
• managing the entire sales process with the buyer, including payment, invoicing, shipping, and delivery;
• providing certificates of authenticity or documentation where applicable.

Artists indemnify ALF against any third-party claims related to their artworks or their sale.

5. Purchase, Pricing and Commission

• The sale price of each artwork is determined by the artist;
• The artist pays ALF a 15% commission on the sale price (incl. VAT);
• The buyer pays the full purchase amount directly to the artist;
• Any additional costs (such as shipping, insurance, customs fees, etc.) are agreed upon between the artist and the buyer and are not the responsibility of ALF.

6. Promotion and Use of Visual Material

• Artists grant ALF permission to use submitted images and texts for promotional purposes related to the Online Gallery and the festival;
• Artists guarantee that they hold all necessary rights to use and share this material.

7. Availability of the Online Gallery

• The Online Gallery is available throughout Edition 14 of the Amsterdam Light Festival;
• ALF reserves the right to modify, temporarily disable, or terminate the Gallery without prior notice.

8. Liability

ALF is not liable for direct or indirect damage, consequential damage, or loss arising from the use of the Online Gallery or the purchase of artworks.

9. Applicable Law

• Dutch law applies to this information;
• Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
